"The Myth That Made Us" by Economist Jeff Fuhrer

Jeff Fuhrer will be discussing his just published book The Myth That Made Us in the Meeting Room of  the Acton Memorial Library. His book explores the link between widely held, but false narratives, about poverty and race and poor outcomes for many in the U.S. economy. Jeff will be touring the country this fall and is very passionate about this book and what we can do to improve our economy. For more detail please go HERE.

Jeff is an Acton resident and friend of several ADTC members. He recently retired as a Senior Policy Advisor at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. He is a fellow for the Brookings Institution, and recently finished a 2 1/2 year term as a senior fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government where he researched the Federal Reserve's new monetary policy framework, and sources of the racial and ethnic wealth gaps.
